چکیده
Introduction: Crescentic glomerulonephritis is an essential kind of glomerulonephritis. According to its rapid progression and aggressiveness, recognizing risk factors helps manage a better treatment outcome. Objectives: This study was designed compare demographic, laboratory, renal biopsy findings patients with crescentic among males females. Patients Methods: cross-sectional compared age, gender, types glomerulonephritis, serum creatinine, 24-hour proteinuria, the number crescents, percentage fibrosis. Results: Of 169 54.4% were males, 45.6% The mean creatinine level, proteinuria 37.73±15.32 years, 2.06±1.35 mg/d, 2084.82±1170.98 respectively. Serum level not significantly different by gender. In addition, crescents had no relationship age proteinuria; however, it significant direct creatinine. Conclusion: our study, lupus nephritis affected women more than men, while other forms common in males. Depending on population, between crescent detected. females lower

Re: prognostic factors in crescentic glomerulonephritis: a single-center experience.
INTRODUCTION Crescentic glomerulonephritis (CGN) is a fatal disease, rapidly leading to end-stage renal disease. Diagnosis should be accurate and treatment should be started immediately. We investigated the factors associated with the renal prognosis in CGN patients. MATERIALS AND METHODS Forty-one patients with CGN who were followed up at the Nephrology Clinic of Ankara Numune Education and ...
متن کاملLaparoscopic versus open splenectomy: a single center eleven-year experience.
The 11-year experience with open (OS) and laparoscopic (LS) splenectomy at a single center is reported. A total of 201 splenectomies were performed and clinical and demographic data were retrospectively analyzed. Patients were classified according to the type of operation as LS or OS. The mean age of patients was 45.1 +/- 17.1, and 141 patients were male. Out of 43 LS, 40 were done for hematolo...
متن کاملT cells in crescentic glomerulonephritis.
Crescent formation in glomerulonephritis (GN) is a manifestation of severe glomerular injury that usually results in a poor clinical outcome. In humans, crescentic GN is frequently associated with evidence of either systemic or organ-specific autoimmunity. T cells play a major role in initiation of adaptive immune responses that lead to crescentic injury. In experimental models of crescentic GN...

4þ haematuria, but urinary sediments showed few red blood cells (1-2-1/high-power fields). His renal function recovered concomitantly with improvement of haemolytic anaemia; thus, haemolysis might also have contributed to the development of his renal dysfunction. Indeed, haemolysisrelated renal dysfunction has occurred in patients with HCV infection [1]. Our patient showed cryoglobulinaemia, bu...
